We Need Your Support

LIVELIHOOD NGO is a not-for-profit organisation, working for development with particular focus on children, women and the elderly in Cameroon, Africa.

Amongst our other field activities we are currently working with communities in a bit to reducing the incidence of water borne diseases and hence reducing the death rate of children from diarrhea and other related water borne diseases, through the promotion of household water treatment technologies and improved hygiene and sanitation practices. We look forward to progressively extending our activities throughout the country as the means become available.

We will like to collaborate with whoever (private, group, organisation, community etc) in order to raise financial support which can go to assist the training of communities and families in the production and installation of Bio-sand filters and also support the construction of hygienic V.I.P latrines to these needy homes. In the the North West Region of Cameroon, about 500,000 households are desperately in need of clean water, with about 400000 children below the ages of 5years who at risk of being affected by diarrhea and other related water borne diseases . With a maximum of 60 US Dollars, one household can already have one bio-sand filter installed in it which will go a long way in saving the lives of children as they will have direct access to clean water in their homes.

From our childhood we are thought a way that only looks what we can't. So as adults we have to re-educte ourselves and our children. Thinking according to the wealth principles.

Giving is one of the wealth principles. Successfull people look at how they can achieve… Continue

While you were sleeping, someone died last night.

Metaphorical speaking, sleeping is when your competitors got the deal while you were asleep.

The truth is, even speaking in metaphors someone really past away last night of hunger and malnutrition in Africa, India, Asia and many other places on our planet. Literary thousand of people are already donating something towards the problem, and it does look like that its only one big black hole, and that’s most probably why Africa is called “Dark Africa”.

Facts are that most of these fu… Continue
